This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid is all-new. The main difference between it and all other Camry models is that it has a gasoline/electric hybrid powertrain that is able to provide exceptional fuel economy. The Camry Hybrid also benefits from the 2007 Camry full redesign, as well.

Pros:
  • Roomy cabin, efficient hybrid powertrain, stronger acceleration than many regular four-cylinder family sedans.
Cons:
  • More expensive than most other Camry styles, small trunk.

Toyota has paid attention to comfort - Quiet ride - Surprising power for a hybrid - plenty of legroom in front and back - good sound system - Interior seems to be too "plasticy" (hows that for a word?) - I feel safe driving this car - trunk space small, but one learns to live with it - I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants fuel economy with comfort.

  • The best! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

What a fantastic car! We’ve had it for about 2 months now and are really impressed with the quality and the technology built into this vehicle. It drives soooooooo smooth and is so quiet. Is it because of the CVT? Possibly. It makes you want to drive more. Terrific mpg which is competitive to that of the smallest conventional engine Toyota cars (I think only Yaris has a comparable mpg with the Camry Hybrid). True, mpg not as good as the Prius’s but the Camry is a much heavier and better car, IMO. We bought for it safety (7 airbags plus all the other safety features you can find) and comfort but we also end up saving gas and helping the environment!

I have driven it only for about 2K so far and its just fantastic! It has about 74K and I guess it just runs like when its new. Gas mileage is fantastic and ride is very quite. Ill update this after a while but I am loving it so far.

I am totally impressed with the Camry Hybrid. Its smooth, very quiet, has plenty of pick up when you need it, and achieves excellent gas mileage. I have all the extras, including navigation. The electronics are easy to use and very well organized. This is a machine that I plan on keeping for a long time. With about 3000 miles on it so far, Im averaging about 41 mpg!!

  • Mileage Disappointment - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

I have had my Camry for almost 2 years. The initial sticker on the window had 42-43 city and 37 highway. The actual mileage is 31 city and 38 highway. Since then the actual mileage on the 2008 and 2009 models is more realistic. Just had to replace 4 tires at 19,000 miles, after being serviced at the dealership regularly. This was another disappointment. The car runs well, but purchased it because of the anticipated mileage. The government credit did not turn out to be the full $2,600. When you complete your tax forms it says "potential" credit so beware of this. The $2,600 turned into $1,800. Otherwise a nice car, glad I purchased it with the gas prices currently at $4.00 per gallon.

  • Believe the hype - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

After reading multiple reviews, I decided to test drive the Camry. The first thing I noticed was the silence; this car is quiet. The only time you will really hear the engine is if you punch the accelerator. If you drive cautiously and conscientiously, slowly accelerating and decelerating, you will definitely get 38-39 MPG. Im averaging 500 miles to a tank. The extras: MP3 stereo, leather, sunroof, GPS, bluetooth make this by far the most geeked out car Ive owned. The ride is smooth, if not really exciting, but then again, on a long trip you wont be stopping for gas as much either ;). The hybrid batteries do take up some room in the trunk, but I can still fit a full size cooler in.

  • Great Car! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Just picked up our new Camry Hybrid in Chicago and drove it back to our home in Florida without a single hiccup. VERY comfortable road car, rides and sounds solid like a luxury sedan. We got 39.5 mpg driving down at 65-75 on interstate highways and are getting 40.5 mpg puttering around town at home (with 1100 miles now on the ODO). Im an electronics engineer and did quite a bit of research before ordering it. The hybrid drive is an extremely complex and well designed system. My wife is very happy with "her" hybrid and thats what counts most. Our only option was the moonroof. I already have a Garmin Nuvi 350 nav unit that we switch between cars so we didnt order the Nav.

  • the way to go! - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

i have owned the tc hybrid now for 4 months & despite a rapping sound coming from the driver a/c vent, it is a great car to drive. will bring the car into the dealership to have them correct this noise. fuel mileage, once i figured out how to go into battery mode has steadily increased with the current tank at 40+ in town. there really is not a thing negative to say about this car. i have been stopped several times by people wanting to know about it and go into it. never had that happen before. if you can grab one before the tax breaks disappear, do it!

  • Best Car owned - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Ive owned Fords, Chryslers, VWs, Audis, and I can tell you, this is the best car Ive owned. I have a fully loaded hybrid Camry, I am proud for what I am doing for the environment and also very pleased with the money savings. The car itself is beautiful, quiet, comfortable. With this transmission you cannot tell when it is shifting, sometimes you think the engine is not running, it is sooo quiet. Suspension is great, comfortable. Brakes are also very good. Interior is roomy, comfortable and packed with amenities. This family car is in fact very fun.

  • Love it - 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid

After about 2000 miles of mixed highway city driving I am averaging almost 37 miles per gallon. The car feels solid and not like I have sacrificed amenities for economy.
